The name 143 Pyramids quilt alludes to a well known one block quilt layout called One Thousand Pyramids. The 1000 Pyramids pattern is a so called one patch quilt layout which means that each individual block consists of only one patch or one piece of cut fabric. Set side by side, a 1000 Pyramids quilt appears to consist of such a multitude of pyramids that its ambitious name seems quite appropriate...
