Featherbone (Block)

Featherbone Block

The Featherbone block is a very striking block based on a straightforward 6 by 6 grid which works best with stark contrasts. Solids or false solids would be excellent choices here.... also a great block for our first International Block Swap!...

The quilt block and the quilt are wonderful for using up a huge quantity of scraps. This version of the quilt uses up a total of 1,288 multicoloured half square triangles, 912 background half square triangles and 240 half square triangles and 148 squares in black... (12 June 2011)
