The Textilmarkt Benediktbeuern is a festival of coulours, shapes and materials. 140 arts and craft booths offer clothing, hats, leather goods, carpet, toys, jewellery and much more. The fair is held in the historique Maierhof belonging to Kloster Benediktbeuern, a famous baroque monastery still active today.

The Textilmarkt Benediktbeuern is a festival of coulours, shapes and materials. 140 arts and craft booths offer clothing, hats, leather goods, carpet, toys, jewellery and much more. Special exhibits during the Textilmarkt Benediktbeuren include "Für Mann und Frau" - Dresses created by the Ateliers Stacheter and Staber - organized in the location of the information centre for traditional costumes Upper Bavaria.

During the first part of the workshop, we will stroll leisurely through Munich's inner city letting ourselves be inspired. You will receive some background information on the city's history and some of the buildings we will see from outside (and sometimes also from the inside).

Then, during the second part of the workshop, you will work with your free associations, with what you saw, heard, smelt and felt during our walk, and with some basic additional research. The objective is to narrow down all the ideas and concepts generated through this process and to develop a design to be put into fabric at a later stage.

This is our first My Year of Design on Tour event!
