Welsh Quilts have been popular with quilters around the world for quite some time. This is certainly thanks to Jen Jones’ commitment to these beautiful hand-quilted masterpieces (read an interview with Jen Jones on her life and her involvement with Welsh Quilts at Quilt around the World). Jen Jones and her Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter are also the publishers of a reproduction of “Welsh Quilting Pattern & Design Handbook” by Marjorie Horton.

Jen Jones and the Welsh Quilt Centre

... We met Jen at the Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter, a gallery dedicated to Welsh quilts and founded by Jen and her husband Roger Clive-Powell. Jen and Roger, an architect specializing in the restoration and conservation of old buildings, bought the almost derelict Lampeter town hall and have restored it. It opened its doors in 2009 and houses changing exhibitions of Welsh quilts taken from Jen’s extensive collection... (26 August 2011)
