During our 2013 Quilt Trip to England of Wales, Jen Jones Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter, Wales, was of course an obligatory stop on our itinerary. Driving through the Welsh landscape is a visual treat already, but seeing this year's exhibition in the Welsh Quilt Centre's beautiful exhibition space was certainly one of THE highlights of the trip...

Jen Jones and the Welsh Quilt Centre

... We met Jen at the Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter, a gallery dedicated to Welsh quilts and founded by Jen and her husband Roger Clive-Powell. Jen and Roger, an architect specializing in the restoration and conservation of old buildings, bought the almost derelict Lampeter town hall and have restored it. It opened its doors in 2009 and houses changing exhibitions of Welsh quilts taken from Jen’s extensive collection... (26 August 2011)
