Bauhaus 1919-2019: MYoD TWO Special Edition

Please note that project has ended, a participation in the Bauhaus online course is no longer possible. But you can always visit our Bauhaus Online Gallery to see the textile experiments of our participants.

For 100 years, the Bauhaus has inspired and fascinated architects, designers and artists worldwide - and also us!

In a special edition of “My Year of Design TWO”, we would like to take this anniversary as an opportunity to look more closely at the innovative art and pluralistic teaching at the Bauhaus that have influenced the way of thinking and working of architects, artists and designers around the world for generations.

Patchwork Puzzles

The Patchwork Puzzles have been an important part of the Quilt around the World project landscape since 2015. The block mysteries, as we then called them, were initially a part of the second edition of our design course "My Year of Design - A Journey of Thinking and Making". Since then the Patchwork Puzzles have come a long way and have acquired a select and very creative fan club of its own.

Those of you who have followed us for some time know that coincidence has long played an important role in our activities. We have used the dice as tool for "coincidental quilt design" since the first edition of My Year of Design, our series of not-so-mainstream design courses. We would like to present today our latest addition to our Coincidence Quilt family - the Quick Coincidence Quilts!
