This photo shows a detail of the new central building of the Leuphana University campus in Lüneburg, Germany. Star architect Daniel Libeskind, part-time professor at Leuphana, developed this innovative building together with his students as a modern, open-minded and friendly place to meet, communicate, reflect and exchange.

This photo shows a row of Azulejos, handpainted and glazed ceramic tiles. On the Iberian Peninsula, they are a legacy of the Moors, who dominated large parts of Spain and Portugal from the 8th century. These weatherproof tiles are used on public monuments and buildings, house façades and churches, but also on interior walls to create artistic murals.
