What Cornelia says about her IBS4 quilt:

I was very happy when I discovered the flyer for the IBS4 during my visit at the Nadelwelt Karlsruhe in 2017. The blocks I got for IBS2 and IBS3 were always beautiful and the wall hangings that I made embellish our living room now.

This time I also had an idea on the subject. My grandmother lived in the Black Forest region and as a child, I spent much time there with my parents and siblings. The trees in free cutting technique by Bernadette Mayr fit very nicely. Finally, conifers grow in the northern Black Forest.

Since I did not finish my last two IBS quilts in time to participate in the travelling exhibition, I decided to start with my IBS4 quilt immediately. A matching fabric for the blocks was found quickly. A dear friend had the right embroidery thread. So I could start right away and the top was done pretty quickly. Since I usually do hand quilting, it was quite challenging for me to do the quilting with my small sewing machine.

Now I'm glad that the wall hanging with the blocks from 5
different countries is finished.
