June's Quilt

June's Quilt

June set her IBS1 blocks on point and arranged them in a layout which allows for 13 blocks instead of 12. In the 13th space, she included a diagram showing all the contributing quilters for her quilt along with their countries - another very clever idea to show to the world how well quilters collaborate beyond borders!

June on her IBS1 experience:

It was interesting to see the various fabrics from other countries, although I have seen some of the same fabrics here, and actually had a couple of the fabrics myself – small world, isn’t it?  It was a real challenge to put all the different colors and blocks together so that the end result was pleasing.  I was pleased to see blocks from so many countries, but hope in the future there are participants from even further abroad.

Dear June, we are certainly doing our best to ensure that your wish is granted... ;-)
