What Ulla says about this exercise:

I very much like the islamic mosaics and patterns. An exhibition in Stuttgart a fews ago was really stunning. In order to stay within my motto "multiple layers in fabrics", I appliquéd a simplified silhouette of a mosque. I would have liked to place the mosque as an extra part in the front but this was just too tricky for me to sew; the small stripes wouldn't have looked so well. It's a compromise!
