What Ulla says about this exercise:

I love the floral patterns of Art Nouveau. I have always been especially impressed by the jewellery by Lalique. Therefore I wanted to do something floral and decided on the Iris as this flower was very popular with other Art Nouveau artists. 

Originally, I wanted to integrate the word "Iris" in a typical font, but in the end I decided to use a leaf, twisted for real.
